Today the Pope made his official arrival to Sydney. As a group we sat along the bank of the river and waited for the Pope to sail past in his boat. However when he finally did arrive he wasn't sitting in his designated seat so therefore we missed seeing him. However some of us decided to watch the mass which was being held near the Sydney Harbour on a big screen in the centre of Sydney. We then walked to the street and was fortunate enough to see the Pope drive past in his Pope mobile.

Tonight we all went our separate ways and enjoyed various youth festivals throughout the city - as I write there's a rock band playing outside.
Yesterday I was fortunate enough to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge - an amazing experience and well worth climbing the thousands of steps to reach the top. A few of us did this yesterday others are climbing tomorrow the leader of the climb commented that there were a considerable number of pilgrims climbing the bridge to see all the events taking place around the City.

This morning we had Catechesis at a local church and this was given by a Bishop from Nigeria. This was followed by mass. We have catechesis and stations of the cross around the city tomorrow.

We are having experiences of a lifetime and looking forward to the weekend.
