With Just 16 days to go its difficult to contain my excitement! My only other pilgrimage prior to this was a BCYS trip to Lourdes last year, now with the prospect of jetting off half way across the world I can only say I am extremely fortunate and grateful to everyone who has made it possible.
What am I looking forward too? EVERYTHING! The country, the people, the experience.... the list goes on. However there are two specifics that are particularly dear to my heart. With close to half a million pilgrims all singing the same song I cannot wait to see how God's spirit moves among us, it promises to be a spiritually life changing experience. Secondly, guess who's part of the media team? Lights Camera Action. I hope to be capturing the moment with frequent blogs pictures and a video diary.
I will post more stuff real soon, but time is not on my side right now, so just keep us in prayer that God will lead and direct us safely and successfully Amen.

The time is flying by quicker than I can get things done but I really can't wait either. Having been to the World Youth Day in Cologne (2005), one of the things that I am most looking forward to about WYD08 is seeing the total enjoyment of everybody who hasn't experience the power of a world youth day before. Not long now!
If you're reading this and are travelling to WYD08, why not comment and let everybody know what you're looking forward to the most? Re: Re: Can't wait for 1st world youth day experience!

I'm just like you Paschal, this will be my first time as well, and I simply can't wait.
I'm looking forward to finding out more about the native peoples of Australia, and of course the WYD event. |
